Alliance Border Services was started in 2001 by customs broker veteran Robert Peterson, who already had 30 years of importing experience under his belt. He wanted to make a difference in the importing world by providing personalized customer service for all cross-border needs. With a small dedicated staff, he grew Alliance Border Services into a well-regarded customs broker with a reputation for providing exceptional personalized service.

In 2019, Alliance Border Services became a part of the Summit family, becoming a division of Summit International Trade Services Inc. This means that all Alliance Border Services clients now have access to more locations and additional consulting and small package services, as well as support for drawbacks and refunds — furthering our commitment to serving our valued clients with reliable, personalized service with the same great staff.
